Beautiful Predator

Staring into the glossy surface of the water, she lets the stillness flow through her as she kneels by the shimmering lake.

A slow inhale and even slower exhale as her body’s tension drains. Her feet and legs molding to the earth beneath her as they conform to her body. Earth and woman made for each other.

The sun shines exquisitely over her, making the volcanic veins just beneath her surface shimmer and dance. Her fingers sink into the shore at her sides as her head falls back into shadow with a piercing scream.

Birds scatter in the trees, small animals run a little faster, but the larger animals recognize their own. A predator in soft skin, with a shrill battle cry, one who is fire itself. They slink slowly away from it even as they envy it.

The water ripples outward at the sound, moved beyond measure to its depths at this creature above it. It can feel the pull at the shore line, the power in her hands, the call of her voice.

Drops of her blood meet the water as they fall from her nose and ears, but still her cry rings out. At the scent of her blood the larger animals scatter even further.

Knowing she is not only capable of immense love and kindness this predator in soft skin. But that she will set fire to the earth around her, blazing her own path, salting it after she is done.

Burning tainted bridges without hesitation and building steel in their place from her very own spine. Her cry fades away and the sound of silence reigns as the dirt on her hands mixes with the blood on her face.

She walks into the blazing sun, not caring of the eyes that watch, what is the uncaring weight of few when she is the hope and joy of many?

Beauty & Legends

When the brightness of day gives way to a luminous night, the moons rays fall across her weary face.

She is at once the Maiden, Mother, and Crone of the old tales. Shining with an inner radiance you can see rippling across the surface of her skin.

As the worries of the day fade, the laugh lines around her eyes come out to play. The moon rises ever higher above her as she tosses her head back.

It’s light shines fully over her face and down her neck covering her body as she screams like a banshee of legends gone by, fully embracing her whole self.

In that one perfect moment, all else is forgotten except the oneness of moon and female brought together by the darkness of night and that which resides in her.

Her fury and wisdom are given free reign, not even the soreness of her throat or the tears on her reddened cheeks can disturb the peace found in the moons caress.

Maiden, Mother and Crone, a banshee of legend, she is everything you think she is not and nothing like you think she is.

She does not ask your permission for the space she inhabits. Only that you do not unwisely stray onto her path, less she takes herself from the peace of the moon and gives you the fire of the sun.

A Forest Nymph

She travelled down a path she’d wandered many times over the years. Through the greenness of the forest, pass familiar trees with their broken branches and the new growth in its place.

Her feet brushing over soft moss and sharp-edged branches, the scent of blooming flowers nearby as she made her way to the fading light at the end of the path.

Once there her feet hit sand and she walked towards the shoreline. The water had always soothed her with its crashing waves against the cliffs on either side. A fierce caress to the jagged rocks.

It was a fanciful place, one of dreams past and present. It wove through her mind making her feel small against the oceans horizons. But as if any goal could be reached here.

They told her she should know her place wasn’t in the water, but amongst the trees. That she would never survive it.

But the ocean was much like her life, full of beautiful and happy things. It’s surface stunning, if at times unruly. Then beneath its surface when you dove into its layers, it had hidden coves and shadows within.

It was wild and untamed, never to be fully explored. Though few tried to look past its surface. She looked longingly at it as she felt the vines wrap around her feet. Whenever she got to close, they always pulled her back.

One day she thought, the water will welcome me, and I will be bound no longer to the fallacies of others.

The Universe came to Earth-Part III

When swirling eyes of constellations met steady eyes of soil, new growth occurred in both the stars and the flowers.

When a mouth of sun alight with laughter was caught by a mouth of deep water, a brilliant display reflected back from the lovers’ connection for all to see.

When the hands of the strong moon were wrapped in the gentle hands of vines, a foundation was built and pain of scars past were lessened.

When a northern star found shelter from its many adventures and trials, and the shelter was called towards the star, a bright new home was created for both earth and stars.

When a mind of intricacies and dancing milky ways clashed with a mine of treasures, tunnels and soft places to land. A greater understanding was reached for both.

When the universe and earth came together and their horizons finally touched. It was as if a brilliant, stunning, mysterious pair of lovers that could never be unraveled began a walk towards the edge.

Love Like Love Is

Love like love is me mapping the stars across your body with my fingers and mouth. Connecting your unique scars and marks into a new pattern every night.

Love like love is me draped over your body or you draped over mine. Soft hands gliding over skin and dragging through hair to soothe away whatever came before.

Love like love is me catching your laugh in my mouth just to taste your happiness because there’s nothing more stunning than that moment of joy with you.

Love like love is my lips skating over your cheeks to whisk away your tears. Wishing I could take all your pain and carry it until you regained your strength.

Love like love is how you know the little things like how I take my coffee and how I drink my scotch. Because they fit the bigger picture of you loving me while I’m loving you.

“La Petite Mort”

Slowly, it built, then all at once. Until my back was arching off the bed, head thrown back, neck straining, wrist coming to my mouth to muffle the sounds.

As a deep pink flush worked its way down my body from the tops of my cheeks, down my neck, over my chest and torso and beyond…

Until I was offering you everything and drawing you closer with every move, every caress of my ever eager hands and mouth.

Every gasping breath, moan, and whimper of longing, leading to this one moment of almost painful bliss.

The color fading from my vision, sounds fading away as if I’m deaf, yet I can see, hear and feel it all so exquisitely.

I feel as if I’m dying but also that I am reborn. Alive, in the way that makes me want to drag my mouth over your skin in sweet thanks…kill me again won’t you lover? From now until our end.

The Valley, My Peace

I sat in the valley, looking out over the horizon, green grass for miles over the hills. Colorful flowers and weeds, the trees and even the animals at a distance.

And I was soothed, not just on the surface, but something in this place and moment filled me to my core. A need that always went unspoken but somehow this place knew.

I wanted to laugh from the joy it brought me, yet found myself wiping away tears instead. How long since I’d felt such peace? It was a relief for however short a time to know that it was still to be found.

I wanted to lay back and sink into its embrace, and then you called my name. My eyes searched, catching yours as you moved towards me, all shadows in the fading light.

I smiled then, my heart filling to overflowing as you reached your hands out to me and I laid my hands in yours. You tugged my body up and towards you even as I made the leap.

Our bodies moved towards each other even as our souls intertwined. And I knew then that I would forever think of you in this place that brought me such joy long after you may have gone.

Witness the Art

They were like art, the way they moved together, living, breathing, glorious art that you could barely stand to witness and yet you could never tear your eyes away in their presence.

So fierce was their devotion and loyalty with their passion burning just as bright, you could be across a crowded room when they caught eyes and you felt it.

Time slowed like a thick molasses as their connection crackled and they spun a web around each other, catching those around them in it without even trying.

Bodies moving closer until it all snapped into place at the touch of their fingers, then their mouths. Damn, but were they art…in the purest form.

The kind of painting or sculpture brought to life most people see and ache at the sheer beauty of it, wish they were a part of it.

Sensual, hell downright sexual, they breathed each other’s air, bodies always touching, mouths seeking, paying no attention to those around them.

They never cared who witnessed their beauty. They weren’t putting on a show it was clear they only had eyes and thoughts for each other.

They just couldn’t help themselves, and when there’s art as beautiful as them in front of you, as bittersweet as it is at times, you simply can’t tear your eyes away from it.

What Lies Beneath

Her lips dripped honeyed words sweeter than any bee ever hoped to produce. She was a goddess among queens. Beneath her sweetness a truth lay in wait for the man that would one day hold her.

Her eyes caught you, always lit from within. A mystery untold even as her mouth would quirk up in a smile on one side. Like she was laughing at a secret only she was privy too. One she may not have found truly amusing.

Her face showed youth, yet it also showed the wisdom of lessons learned. Of the life she’d lived to this point and that no matter ones age, they can always know pain and loss and a life lived. Etched in between the tiny laugh lines around her eyes, you would surly find both.

Yet beneath her smoothed out veneer ran a savageness and hunger. One that she ruthlessly controlled. She could never truly be held unless she gave herself freely. Trying to capture her was like trying to capture smoke that the wind had already carried away.

My Ocean

The water has called to me since birth.
It’s depths an intriguing unknown, often filled with mystery and a layer of fear or doubt.
Still the darkness draws me to explore with languid strokes.

It’s shallows a playground, filled with laughter and life. I could linger there for hours watching and listening. Feeling it’s sweet embrace and never tire or not wish to return the moment we part.

Always it has caused me to ponder life’s meaning along with its many joys. Of what has passed, what already is and what may come.

The water leaves no room for lies whether to it or yourself. It draws out the secrets you hold even if in whispers and the wishes you thought may never come true.

The water gives clarity even during times of uneasiness. Draws you away from your past into the present, towards your future.

It is one of my greatest pleasures and dearest loves. Always I will return to the water for its promise of truth, peace and joys.

And so I will with you. For you are much like the water filled with unexplored hidden depths and joys. Waiting to be discovered. You are known and yet unknown, you see me as clearly as the ocean. Filled with mystery and light.

Let me swim in your depths and explore your shallows while showing you my own. So two oceans once separated can find their way again.
